SITUATION
Your earlier success in establishing a temporary deployment base at Vuojarvi will enable your strike package to reach the Kandalaksha nuclear weapons storage facility without need of aerial refueling. The short flight time will also give Red Russian air defense forces little if any warning of your attack.

OBJECTIVE
Your detachment is now in close striking distance of the nuclear weapons storage facility near Kandalaksha. Ingress to the facility and destroy it before the Reds can mount a defense. The elimination of this facility will ensure that the conflict will not enter a nuclear stage. Aircraft startup time will begin 50 minutes before sunrise in the mission area.

Threats & Strategy:
- There is an SA-10 site on the outskirts of Kandalaksha itself, along with a functioning Red airfield in between your target and your temporary home base. Russian air and SAM crews are not expecting a strike from the west so close and will not be effectively manning their stations and aircraft before the primary targets starts blowing up. To ensure a clean egress with minimal threats, US and Finnish special forces have smuggled in several HIMARS vehicles equipped with GMLRS and will strike both the SA-10 site and the airfield once they receive communication that the primary targets have been hit. These guided rockets will be equipped with cluster munitions to ensure a broad strike, and additionally one will strike the runway with bomblets as additional guarantee to prevent the takeoff or landings of any Red aircraft.

Weaponeering
Each target is a hardened underground bunker containing tactical nuclear warheads and will require (2) GBU-31(V)4/B JDAMs to completely destroy. All aircraft have been pre-loaded with 2 AIM-9X, 1 AIM-120C, 1 ATFLIR, 1 centerline fuel tank, and 2 of the aforementioned JDAMs. The remaining 2 pylons are at Mission Commander/flight leader discretion.

Support
A NATO E-3 AWACS will be departing the Finnish airfield of Kallax simultaneously, ostensibly on a mission of "aircrew training" however they will be acting as C3 for this mission, relaying information and target status between your flights and the HIMARS in the field. Their frequency will be the standard 266.00.
Bullseye is Kandalaksha.

Weather
Sunrise is at 0546 local at your temporary base. Crews will man their jets at 0500 local to allow enough time to depart the road base and strike the targets before the Russians can wake up fully.
