Creating Precision Waypoints

Post by Hedgehog » Sat Jul 20, 2019 12:08 pm

For some guided weapons, you can use waypoint targeting. However, the waypoint must be a 'precision' waypoint in order for the weapon the hit the target accurately. If you're lucky, the precision waypoint has already been programmed into your navigation computer. If not, you will have to do it yourself. There are a several important steps to make your navigation computer accept that LAT/LON data in the format you are likely to receive (DEG - MIN - SEC.XX).

1. Press the DATA button on the HSI page.

Elevation (ELEV) can be entered in either meters or feet. Be sure to select FEET.
