VFA-41 was tasked to conduct an Offensive Counter-Air strike against the Iranian Air Force’s Lar Airbase
The primary objective was to first disable the airfield’s runway.
The secondary objective was to target the control tower and headquarters building on the south side of the tarmac.
Dealer 1 was assigned CAP duty
Dealer 2 was assigned the primary objective
Dealer 3 was assigned the secondary
On ingress Dealer 2-1 was lost due to connection issues. Dealer 1 encountered a flight of 2 Mig-29s and dispatched them clearing the way for the remaining strike aircraft. The strike flight got in and got all weapons off and called miller time.
All flights returned to mother and trapped
The primary objective was not hit, it appears that the coordinates given to us were incorrect.
The secondary objective was hit and destroyed. Although non of the aircraft on the tarmac were hit.
The airfield is still serviceable minus some command structures

3-2 Sunshine - Ground targets, Trapped
