VFA-41 was tasked with a nighttime raid on an airfield in the Iranian interior. The airfield is known to be heavily protected by SAM and AAA defenses. HARMs in pre-briefed mode and JSOW stand-off weapons were ordered for the strike.

Mission partial success. JSOW-C penetrators rained destruction on the target area, but hardened ammo bunkers reportedly survived the attack and may need to be serviced again.
