VFA-41 was tasked with locating and destroying two convoys of armored vehicles and trucks carrying weapons and supplies. Infrared and laser-guided air-to-ground weapons were assigned as well as cluster munitions for soft targets.

Convoys were stopped, so unable to be detected by GMT radar. Each convoy was located by FLIR sweep, and locations passed to each aircraft by grid coordinates. All mission aircraft released weapons and scored hits, effectively decimating both convoys.

All mission aircraft returned safely to the carrier.

MISSION SUCCESS.
