Black Aces were tasked to perform a low altitude recconnaissance of the submarine pen loacted at Olenya Guba to determine number of subs in port and if they were performing weapons loading.
10 pilots flew this mission with the squadron disposition as follows:

Dealer 1, RECON/ESCORT flight, consisting of 1 TARPS configured F-14 and 2 F-18's loaded with Mk82 rockeyes and HARMS.
Dealer 2, ESCORT flight, consiting of 3 F-18's loaded with Mk82 Rockeyes and HARMS.
Dealer 3, ESCORT/TARCAP flight, consisiting of 4 F-18's with A/A loadout.

Dealer Flights launched at 1330 local time with Dealer 3 launching first with Dealers 1 and 2 following, respectively. Flights joined up at WP1 and then proceeded to the IP, WP2, with Dealers 1 & 2 descending to 1000 ft and Dealer 3 at the TARCAP altitude of 20,000 ft. Dealers 1 & 2 overflew the target, WP3, and obtained the recon photos while sustaining multiples SAM launch and anti-aircraft gun attacks. One Dealer 1 F-18 was lost to A/A gun fire with the pilot ejecting and presumably being captaured. One Dealer 2 F-18 attacked a A/A gun emplacement with a Mk82 rockeye with BDA unknown. Dealer 3 only saw high altitude enemy transort flying away from area before being order to RTB. All Dealer flight egressed targert area and recovered with one F-18 lost to fuel starvation during refueling.
