2 groups of Hornets departed CVN-72 to attack and destroy all berthed Red Russian nuclear ballistic submarines at Polyarny. Dealer 1 departed first and anchored north of the AO temporarily while the F-14 CAP engaged with subpar performance against a patrolling flight of bandits, but eventually won. Dealer 1 continued onwards and released all bombs on target and egressed safely back to mother in a CASE 3 recovery, though Dealer 1-3 experienced mysterious activation of the emergency gear lever, though successfully rolled it back with no effect on aircraft performance. Unfortunately Dealer 1-2 crashed on recovery at the ramp/stern, with no damage to the landing area.

Dealer 2 was just finishing up their attack run when they were ambushed by a pair of MiG-29s out of Severomorsk airfield, whom were not detected by AWACS and seemingly used their IRST solely to detect and engage Dealer 2 with infrared missiles, resulting in a complete squad wipe, though not without themselves losing a MiG.

Dealer 2
Rhino - ground targets, shot down.
Nopro - ground targets, 1x MiG-29A, shot down.
Maniac - ground targets, shot down.
BammBamm - ground targets, shot down.


After analysing post-mission telemetry, it was determined all bombs successfully struck their targets and eliminated the nuclear submarine threat.
