With the DEAD mission completed in our last mission, SAM threats in and around Polyarny have been neutralized. Remaining long-range SAM coverage is concentrated further south near Murmansk International Airport and is not expected to affect strike operations in the port area.
The Red Russian Typhoon-class SSBNs are berthed in hardened pens and piers at Polyarny. These assets must be destroyed before they can sortie and pose a strategic threat to NATO.
