MISSION
There is a major weather system over the target area today, limiting the kind of strikes we can do. ISIL forces have seized the border crossing near Jordan and Iraq and have reinforced and fortified it. Coalition spec ops teams have been inserted nearby and will be lasing targets in the area. Due to the density and size of the terrorist forces, all 3 Dealer flights have been assigned to this task and tanker flights have been repositioned accordingly.
The storm system will make it very difficult to visually confirm target points in the area, but on the plus side, the entire surrounding area is empty desert, so any missed bombs will not cause any collateral damages. The JTACs will be providing coordinates in their message and slowly circling the compound from a distance.
Coalition forces continue to experience intermittent SA-11 pop-up attacks and despite several SEAD/ELINT missions over the last week, they persist, so the mandatory 1 HARM minimum for self-protection continues when flying between Damascus and Homs.

- Possible radar guided SAMs operating inside Lebanese territory. Do not overfly it.
