Before the squadron departs on its upcoming Persian Gulf Deployment, we are going to take the opportunity to re-qualify at the boat since we've been flying out of Nellis for the past 3+ months.

Squadron aircraft will depart from Andersen AFB at 11:00 and the USS Abraham Lincoln will be steaming approximately 80 miles west of Guam.

Flights will recover in accordance with VFA-41 Carrier Standard Operating Procedures. As we have several new pilots since our last deployment (and for any existing pilots who might need/want a refresher), a copy of our Carrier SOP can be found here for review.

Each pilot will execute two daytime touch and go's and one trap aboard the Lincoln. Flight leads should coordinate/update each other on the progress of their flight's CQ. If required, flights should hold overhead the ship prior to commencing in order to allow previously arriving flights to complete their CQ as more than 4 aircraft in the pattern at any given time gets challenging to maintain Case I pattern SA.

If sufficient mission time remains after Day CQ is complete, at CO/MC discretion, the squadron should load the nighttime version (23:00 launch) of the same CQ mission and conduct a Case III recovery and trap.

Consider hosting each on a different mission server such that once a flight completes their Day CQ they can can despawn on deck once parked and re-spawn back at Andersen on the night mission to start back up for Case III CQ.
