MISSION:
Two flights of the VFA-41 Black Aces will scramble to stop the escape of the hi-jacked USS Boxer (LHD 4). An unknown number of hostile agents boarded the USS Boxer and are inroute North to a likely Irainian port. They are currently 10 NM north of OMAN.The Boxer is being escorted by an Iranian Grisha-class corvette. It is imperative the USS Boxer and the aircraft it carries does not make land fall in IRAN. Your orders are to sink the USS Boxer and the escort ship. You should locate the targets between WP3 and WP4. ROE: Weapons Free on all Iranian military or hostile units.
Dealer 1 STRIKE/CAP will scramble and ingress at best speed to sink or damage and slow the USS Boxer.
Dealer2 STRIKE/CAP will launch second and ingress to provide Top Cover and additional resources to complete the mission.
SITUATION:
STRIKE will have to launch quickly and ingress at best speed to overtake the targets before they reach the safety of the Iranian coastal defenses. The USS Boxer was scheduled for planned maintenance and only a skeleton crew were aboard waiting for the removal of the last aircraft. Once reaching open sea, most, if not all of the USS Boxers remaining crew were forced overboard and are being recovered by air and sea rescue. If this hi-jack was the work of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as INTEL suggests, a hostile fighter response is certain to assist the egress of the hi-jacked ship.
