He is a 'legacy' Black Ace, meaning that he served in the Jane's F/A-18 era, and has been wearing a VFA-41 flight suit for probably the better part of 15 years. He retains most of the rights and privileges earned as a Black Ace, and we hope to see him on the flight line occasionally!
