VFA-41 was tasked with escorting two airliners carrying delegates for negotiation between airfields in Iran and the UAE. Intel reports indicated the possibility to 3rd party actors, such as rogue commanders in the Iranian military who are not aligned with the negotiation process, attempting to disrupt the meetings by intercepting and shooting down the delegate aircraft. Additionally, in a tense cease-fire agreement, Iranian MiG-29s were in the same airspace escorting their delegates to the UAE.

Ultimately no shots were fired in the vicinity of either airliner, and each delivered its delegates safely.

1 - Shadow: ran off runway and crashed after rough landing at Khasab for refueling.
2 - Ticman: trapped.
