16 SEP 2019 The Gloves Come Off

VFA-41 was tasked with SEAD objectives to clear a path for a B-52 bomber attack on an Iranian airfield that has been used to harass shipping and commercial air traffic the in the region. Oh yeah, we also had to escort the B-52s.

Dealer 1-1 - Hedgehog: gnd tgts hit, trapped.
Dealer 1-2 - Lion: gnd tgts hit, trapped.
Dealer 1-3 - Shadow: trapped.
Dealer 1-4 - Ticman: shot down by SA-10

Dealer 2-1 - Trim: 1x MiG-29, trapped.
Dealer 2-2 - Papa Joe: Unable to refuel, aircraft lost.
Dealer 2-3 - Cord: trapped.
Dealer 2-4 - Mad Dog: Unable to refuel, aircraft lost.

Dealer 1 was assigned SEAD objectives. A known SA-10 site was serviced with AGM-88 HARMs as well as AGM-154-A JSOWs. Additional threat emitters located were an SA-11 launcher and Rapier SAM site, which were put out of commission with HARMs. Dealer 2 fended off a flight of MiG-29s to protect the B-52s.

MISSION SUCCESS! :1grin:

Well executed mission. Those B-52's really did a number on the airbase.
