[Hedgehog]

VFA-41 was tasked with an areafam flight in the new Persian Gulf AO. The flight was not without incident... On launch, the aircraft on catapult 4 launched before catapult 3 in accordance with flight order. Both Hornet's wings were spread. His right wing struck the left wing of the plane on cat 3 on the cat stroke, causing damage to both jets. The plane on cat 3 launched without realizing the damage, and immediately crashed into the sea. The jet launched from cat 4 had only minor damage and recovered safely for repairs.

Note: Mother's TACAN and ICLS were non functional.

The mission was relaunched. All aircraft completed the waypoint tour without further incident, and landed at Al Dhafra.
