VFA-41 was tasked with providing cover for a rescue helo that was recovering a downed pilot.
VFA-41 launched as three flights. The helo did successfully recover the pilot but VFA-41 suffered several losses in the process.

Trim - Mig-21 x2, trapped
Papa Joe - Mig-21, Client crashed
Shadow - shot down by fratricide
Cord - Shot down by SAM
Dealer 2:
Lion - shot down by Mig
Hedgehog - shot down by AAA
Nemo - Shot down by SAM
Dealer 3:
Ticman - Ground Targets, trapped
Mad Dog - Ground Targets, trapped
