The Black Aces were tasked for CAP duty along the contentious coast of Russia and Georgia border.

Launching from USS Abraham Lincoln, Dealer 1 was loaded with full A2A weapons and tasked with patrol of WP 1-2.

Upon reaching second waypoint, Dealer 1 was diverted to Gudauta for emergency CAS of troops in contact that were performing recon of a Russian forward operating base near the border.

Dealer 1 diverted to Gudauta and loaded out with 4x MK-82Y, 16x ZUNI Rockets, 2x CBU-99 submunition canisters and ATTFLIR.
Dealer 1 then proceeded to enter a river valley at WP 5 staying below 500 feet AGL to not alert Russian military to their presence.
Recon 1 advised Dealer 1 to the immediate threat and where to strike. Dealer 1 dispatched the threat with low level drops, rocket attacks and carpet bombs.

One Dealer flight was lost due to a miscalculation of bomb trajectory and altitude, the other 3 aircraft returned to the carrier.
