17 September 2023 - Operation Enduring Resolve Week 12

3x flights of F/A-18C Hornets departed mom for on-call and pre-planned tasking over Syria. One Hornet was left behind due to operational malfunction. Dealer 1 assigned to search and destroy moving convoys of Shilka radar-guided AAA vehicles. Dealer 3 assigned to strike MANPAD positions in villages held by apocalyptic death cult, marked by special forces in a Kiowa helicopter. Dealer 2 had normal on-call patrol.

Dealer 1 found several convoys of Shilkas and shacked them, and returned to mother with no problems, aside from some poor fuel management.
Dealer 2 was tasked en-route to search for and intercept some drones ISIS had managed to get flying near the Tabqa dam; 2-2 dumped his entire drum of 20mm ammo into one drone with questionable accuracy, but it kept flying, damaged. 2-1 fired an AIM-9X at high off-boresight angle and it just barely missed. 2-1 fired a second Sidewinder and finally tagged it.

2-3 had to divert due to fuel management and initially headed for the Chinese airbase surely out of complete ignorance and not out of a desire to defect to China. After being warned away he turned 180 and landed at.......... Hama, an airfield currently controlled by no faction. After presumably receiving zero ground assistance from an abandoned airfield, 2-3 promptly took off again (and just barely missing the WEZ of a nearby manpad) managed to land at Lebanese airport Rene Mouawad. I'm guessing the State Department will have to fork over some concessions to get our jet back.

Dealer 3 had 0 problems killing a bunch of MANPADs, though 3-2 in an F-14 had trouble guiding all his bombs onto target.
Also, 3-2 lightly damaged himself with the last bomb he fired and only unfortunately discovered the effects when trying to trap. SAR operations commenced.

Dealer 1
Lion - 4x ZSU-23 Shilka, trapped.
Ticman - 5x ZSU-23 Shilka, 1x BTR-80, trapped.
Jega - couldn't join without required mods

Dealer 2
Trim - 1x ISIS drone, trapped.
Chaos - trapped.
Shaft, landed at neutral Lebanese airport.

Dealer 3
Rhino - 4x SA-18 MANPADs, trapped.
Maniac - crashed into water near mother as a result from earlier undetected weapons malfunction
Crash - 4x SA-18 MANPADs, trapped.
