4 Feb 19 Operation Oil Spill

The Black Aces were tasked with destroying rigs near Iran. We expected enemy fighter resistance and saw plenty. Two flights were sent up in order to accomplish this task, Dealer 1 was in charge of destroying the oil rigs while Dealer 2 was providing escort. Dealer 2 launched first and Dealer 1 trailed at about 20NM to the rear. Shortly after arriving at WP3, Dealer 2 engaged targets to the 3 o'clock of WP3. Dealer 1 continued ingress to WP4 where they encountered a 3 ship of F-5s. Dealer 2 cleaned up their area nicely with no casualties while Dealer 1 was down to only the lead A/C. Both flights continued to WP4 where 1-1 dropped all ordinance on several different oil rigs while Dealer 2 engaged more MiG-29s that were inbound. The Flight back to mother was thankfully uneventful and all remaining A/C trapped.

AWACS was shot down by F-5E.

Dealer 2:
2-1 Ticman - 1x F-5E, 1x MiG-29, Trapped
2-2 Gixxer - 1x F-5E, 1x MiG-29, shot down by SA-18
2-3 Weavin - 2x F-5E, Trapped
2-4 Trim - 1x F-5E, Disconnect

Mission Success! Bombs were put on target and several oil platforms were put out of commission.
