VFA-41 tasked to strike and destroy a hydroelectric power generation facility at Jirah. Three flights launched around dawn local time, and anchored approximately 30 miles west of the target area until 0520L, for allied F-16s to perform a SEAD mission on SA-11 and other air defences the target area. Dealer 1 fired a large load of TALDs to saturate and deplete any remaining launchers while Dealers 2 and 3 simultaneously fired AGM-154C JSOWs and AGM-84H SLAM-ERs at the site itself to avoid remaining SHORAD and AAA at the site.
Dealer 3 also carried back-up HARMs for any pop up threats, but none were discovered.
Most of the ground targets were destroyed and JSOWs and SLAM-ERs converged on the target area barely twenty seconds apart.
No aerial threats were encountered as they were quickly intercepted by the bloodthirsty F-16 SEAD flight and all Dealer flights successfully returned to mother in CASE 1 conditions.
