The F-14 flight departed the carrier first armed with ADM-141A TALD decoys and launched them 20 miles from the target area, successfully provoking both SA-11 sites into launching their entire battery's worth of missiles at the decoys. Afterwards, F/A-18C Hornet flights were cleared in one by one to destroy the radars via HARM prebriefed mode and launchers with GBU-38 JDAMs.
Dealer 2 went in to attack the secondary SA-11 site but three launchers survived.
A third flight of Hornets provided reserve CAP/SEAD support in the event of enemy interceptors or pop-up SAM threats.
No enemy forces approached the target area and after clearing the secondary site, miller time was called and flights ordered to RTB, where all 12 aircraft successfully recovered in CASE 1 conditions.
