Diverting

If circumstances in a squadron mission require you to land at a divert field, your mission is complete at that point unless otherwise directed by the Mission Commander. While you do not necessarily have to stay there, a trap afterwards would not count, for example.

Why? In a real world scenario, you might need to divert due to aircraft damage. It wouldn't be repaired in 90 seconds as it is in the sim. Or because of a low fuel situation and you were unable to tank. In-flight refueling is a basic skill in VFA-41. Unless refueling on the ground is part of the mission plan, you may as well stay there until the Navy decides how to buy you some jet fuel wherever you landed.

As well, if the Mission Commander directs refueling on the ground, take note of your stores onboard before you land, and make sure you reload the same stores loadout when you refuel. We never get or remove weapons at a divert field.
