MISSION:
Flights of the VFA-41 Black Aces will conduct flight training. While airborne the VFA-41 will practice inflight refueling and Case One recovery procedures or as directed by the Training Officer. Each flight should execute two ( 2 ) Case One recovery's, One Touch & Go and one for Trap. Observe marshal and recovery communications so each flight recovers safely and in a timely manor.


SITUATION:
A quiet week with no orders for police actions and the Roosevelt has been Field Day'ed from top to bottom, twice. Command has ordered flight training. The CVN-71 Roosevelt Carrier Group has positioned near the Turkish shore line in the Black Sea. After the embarrassing loses of
air-frames and pilots two weeks prior by the fledgling air force of Abkhazia, the pilots of the VFA-41 have been receiving security briefings and training in the new Rules of Engagement for Operation Caspian Clash.
1: Potentially hostile aircraft that approach within 50 nm of the carrier group will be intercepted and if not turned away, will be engaged
and shot down.
2: No military fighter aircraft possibly flown by Abkhazia Air Force pilots will be permitted in Georgia air space. Any fighter aircraft in
violation will be intercepted and if not turned away, will be engaged and shot down.
3: No military fighter aircraft possibly flown by Abkhazia Air Force pilots will be permitted to operate within 40 nm of U.S. Navy Strike Fighter
Squadrons while on patrols and ordered operations. This includes International waters of the Black Sea. Potentially hostile aircraft that approach
within 40 nm of U.S. Navy Strike Fighter Squadrons will be intercepted and if not turned away, will be engaged and shot down.
