SITUATION:
The Marines have landed!
While strike operations were busy obliterating infrastructure and critical military sites across southern Iran, Coalition forces assembled amphibious groups, including the United States Marine Corps' 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force, encompassing a vast array of battle-hardened firepower.

In the initial stages of the 4th phase of Operation TOMB FIST, Coalition forces have seized the 'Red' Iranian held fortress islands of Sirri Island, Greater Tunb Island, and Tunb Island, and secured their airfields as forward operating bases for the main invasion of the hostile Iranian coastline.

Though 'Red' IRGC forces have been severely depleted over the course of the campaign, they continue to have seemingly limitless amounts of short-range MANPADs and ZSU-23 anti-aircraft artillery and ammunition, and have been observed dispersing their soldiers into every major city and town in order to resist the invasion at every possible turn.

MISSION:
VFA-41 flights will launch on a battlefield interdiction mission.

Prior to securing Qeshm Airfield, an IRGC armored battalion guarding it needs to be destroyed. Allied flights will be launching before your flight and suppressing & destroying any radar-guided threats in the area, though 'Red' Iran has an enormous supply of ZU-23 AAA guns mounted on trucks and dug-in emplacements all over the island, so caution below 10,000 feet is strongly recommended.

The armored group in question has approximately 15 vehicles, comprised of T-72 tanks, BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles, ZU-23-mounted trucks and ZSU-23-4 Shilkas. HUMINT reports dispersal within the airbase and runway.

No airborne threats are expected and the only surface-to-air threats are ZSU-23 anti-aircraft artillery and possibly ZSU-23-4 Shilkas within the armored group itself.


NOTE 1: Due to previous SCUD attacks, KHASAB AIRFIELD is CLOSED. The runway and tarmac is still heavily damaged!
NOTE 2: Friendly HAWK SAM sites have been deployed in Sirri Island, Tunb Island AFB, and Tunb Kochak Island. Any deployment of anti-radiation weaponry at these islands will result in consequences for future missions.
