LOCATION: GULF OF OMAN

SITUATION:
Coalition forces have officially declared that Red Iranian forces have been eliminated and ejected from friendly territory.

Contrary to mounting public opinion that peace negotations would resume again, the Red Iranians in control of southern Iran have doubled down on their malevolent rhetoric and have vowed to fortify the coasts and step up their retaliation attacks on UAE cities and Coalition forces in-theater, beginning with SCUD and other ballistic missile attacks on civilian populations.

The Straits of Hormuz remain mined and closed to international shipping.

While a variety of minesweeper ships are being rerouted to the Straits of Hormuz, NAVCENT has tasked forces in theater with the next phase of operations - total air superiority over the Iranian coastline. All surface to air missile batteries, radars, and airfields will be prioritised for destruction over the coming weeks.

MISSION:
VFA-41 flights will launch today on a seek and destroy mission.

Black Aces flights have been tasked to search a 35 nm by 60 nm area south of Jiroft Airport, for a confirmed group of SS1C-SCUD-B SRBM launchers. Intel sources report that a convoy of four launchers are protected by a small mixed group of tanks and air defence vehicles.
The convoy's route is expected to travel north from Chah Logh and end near the northern coastline of the Hamun-e Jaz Murian inland basin, expected to take 3 hours.

It is fully anticipated that Iran will attempt launch its SCUD missiles at any number of civilian + military targets should the convoy reach the firing location. Its destruction must be attempted at every reasonable cost.

A JSTARS aircraft, callsign DARKSTAR 1-1, has arrived to the AO and will provide intermittent updates for the convoy's location, via markpoints on the F10 map.
