TIME: FEB 13, 2020, 0230L TAKEOFF
WEATHER: Clear, 16 knots from the NW, moderate turbulence, full moon
LOCATION: STRAITS OF HORMUZ

SITUATION:
Carrier Strike Group Three, with the USS John C. Stennis and accompanying escorts have returned to the Persian Gulf region after emergency resupply at Diego Garcia. All squadrons temporarily deployed to Al Dhafra have returned to the carrier group.

Iranian forces have been moving steadily south since the invasion and have recently captured Ras al Khaimah, including its airport, which it is now preparing for operations against coalition forces.
Military intelligence analysis has it on good authority that one of these groups are now racing south toward Sharjah International airport, which is barely ten miles north-east from Dubai International.
Allied commands are preparing a large air tasking order to defend the capital from these encroaching enemy forces.

MISSION:
VFA-41 Black Aces flights will launch on an offensive counter air mission against the Iranian-occupied airfield of Ras Al Khaimah, specifically to sanitize the airspace of hostile fighters, and damage/destroy as many parked Iranian aircraft on the ground as possible.

A 4-ship flight of F-16s from Al Dhafra AB is orbiting just inside the protection of the PATRIOT SAM, and will be awaiting your call (via comms menu F10. Other ) to commence its preplanned strike against ground forces at the airbase.

AWACS on station has reported that a flight of four unidentified Iranian fighters have taken up a CAP station directly above the airbase and will need to be eliminated before the F-16s can move in.

- NOTE: The CSG only has small-capacity S-3B Tankers for a bit of extra fuel during recoveries.
The UAE has continued to authorize the release of external tanks and jet fuel, available at AL MINHAD AB (TACAN 99X) if needed.
