23 July 2023 - Hormuz 06 (Sunday mission substitute)

SITUATION
Our allied ground force has taken over Minab and destroyed several SA-2 sites in the area. But their advance towards Banda Abbas was delayed by the
weather. The Iranian Navy's battleships were sheltered inside Banda Abbas port facilities since the start of the war. However, on the sixth day, the thick
clouds and rainy weather provided good coverage for the movement of their battleships as our spy satellite and reconnaissance aircraft were unable to
monitor the ground movement from high altitude. One hour ago, around 1200UTC, one of our ground force's UAV near Banda Abbas spotted seven
battleships departing Banda Abbas port, and a half hour ago at 1230UTC, the fleet was spotted again off the southwest coast of Hormoz Island. Our
intel also confirmed that the Iranian Navy had commanded the 3rd Battle Fleet, which is based at Banda Abbas port and consists of twelve battleships
to make offensive action before the port city fall into our hands. We conjectured that their primary target is the USMC Tarawa amphibious attack group
operating south of Seerik. However, we observed only seven battleships set off, meaning the other five are likely still sheltering inside Banda Abba's
port. Therefore, the CVN-73 Carrier Strike Group scrambled a package consisting of 2 flights, Hawk 1 and Hawk 2, to search and destroy the Iranian
battleships.

MISSION
Case III Departure 1315UTC. Coordinate N243912 E584754
Case III Recovery 1445UTC. Expected Reocvery Location N243935 E582756
Mother Frequency 305.0AM, TACAN 71X, ILS: 11, ACLS LINK 4: 336.0

[Designer's note]
1) One of the Players must select Hawk 1-1 with tail# 211 (mission commander) because most key triggers are linked to this aircraft.
2) It's recommended another Player to select Hawk 2-1 with tail# 207 to play this mission.
3) If more than two Players joined this mission, it's recommended that other players to sit into Hawk 1 and Hawk 2 flights evenly.
4) Please keep the default weapons (AGM-84D) unchanged as some communications are triggered only by this type of missile.
5) The Iranian battleships are set not to intercept air weapons, but players should think about how to destroy multiple ships in a close formation.

Hawk 1-1 is the mission commander of the strike package. All aircraft will start cold on deck, bingo fuel setting 3700lbs. Case III departure with low
visibility and cloud ceiling below 3,000ft. After clearing mother's DME-10, we will climb to 20,000ft and regroup at WP1. After rendezvous, we will switch
COMM1 to Channel 2 (STRIKE) and COMM2 to Channel 4 (Hawk). Our expected push time for WP2 is 1325UTC and the cruising contract speed is 0.70
Mach and we will maintain at 20,000ft unless told otherwise. We will fence in before WP2 and check in with STRIKE.

WP3 is ROCK (A/A bullseye waypoint) for the sixth day, which is set at Banda Abbas city harbor. After passing WP2, we will turn to WP3 and use Radar
A-G Sea mode to search ships in the sea area between WP4 and WP5. But we should always stay south of WP5 before destroying the enemy fleet,
especially if we are unaware of the battleship's position. In case, we couldn't find them on the radar, we will first get clearance from STRIKE, then set
WP5 as Harpoon Turnpoint (HPTP), 338 as Bearing, 10nm as Search distance and 40nm as self-destruction distance. Then we shall launch missiles
without a solid radar lock.

Due to the weather, we can't get satellite updates on the enemy's position or BDA for the mission, instead, an allied force UAV will takeoff from Khasab
airport and orbit at low levels in the Hormuz Strait to provide some intelligence but don't expect it can see everything in such weather. There shouldn't
be SAM threats as our ground forces have cleared the coast area of Seerik. Also, keep in mind that three battleships from US Marine are also operating
along the coast south of Seerik (25nm southeast of WP5), we don't want the harpoons to fly to them in any event.

Let's try to get this mission done and return to mother before sunset, no one likes to land on the carrier at night time in such weather. Good Luck
