It's a complicated mission that a) I did not write, b) I don't know how it will go, and c) offers several flyable Hornet slots with different tasking.

Mission 02 Jebel al-Harim Party
Time: 22-Jun-2011 0600UTC (1000LT)
Weather: Cloudy
Temp: 28°C
Sunrise: 0525LT
Visibility: Good
Clouds: High-scattered
Wind: 315, 10kts
Mother Frequency 305.0AM, TACAN 71X, LINK 4: 336.0

On the first day of strike, on the east side, the U.S. Navy Fifth Fleet had successfully destroyed Bandar-e-Jask air base and its subsidiary military assets, including silkworm anti-ship missile launchers and aircrafts parked inside bunkers. On the west side, the USAF Middle East Command also made successful anti-radar attacks over Siri island and Abumusa Island, where the Iranians deployed their advanced air defense system. Intense air combats to gain air superiority are still under-going on both east and west side of the Hormuz Strait. We have shot down several Iranian Mig-29 and Mig-23 aircrafts over the Gulf of Oman. After that, the Iranian Air Force became more cautious and strategic, leveraged by their air defense system, the Iranian Air Force made several attempts to lure our allied air combat units deeper into the north. But at the current stage, as most SAM sites remain active inside the Iranian territory, the aircombat is mainly conducted along the southern coast of Eastern Iran. Therefore, more SEAD flights to suppress the Iranian air defense system are expected tobe planned in the following days.

Tasks
Primary:
Neutralize SA-10 located 4 nm southeast of Seerik (HARM code: 104)
Secondary:
Neutralize SA-11 located near Seerik (HARM Code: 107)
Threat
1. SA-10 near Bandar Abbas, SA-6 on Qeshm Island, SA-2 near Minab, SA-5 near Jiroft Air Base
2. AAA & Manpads near Primary target area
3. Iranian CAP Fighters F-1, F-5, Mig-23, Mig-29, F-14

Hawk 1-1 is the lead of the package (Designer's note: one of the Players must select Hawk 1-1, as some triggers are activated by this aircraft). All aircrafts will start cold on deck. Hawk 1 and Hawk 2 are the core flights of this package, aiming to destroy primary and secondary targets respectively, Hawk 3 and Hawk 4are to perform CAP tasks in the Navy & AF joint operation area in the Musandam Peninsula, providing on-call fighter sweep support to our allied forces. After cold start, remember to set up appropriate chaff/flare programs for your ALE-47 for SEAD mission. After being cleared by the taxi director (Designer's note: text message on screen), proceed to your assigned catapults. Case I launch, after which the Hawk flights shall regroup at WP2 (RV) at AGL 20. When all flights are ready for push, Hawk 1-1 to give PUSH order for WP3 and climb to AGL 30 with contract speed of 0.75 mach. (Designer's note: Hawk 1-1 should also give the order to switch COMM1 to Channel 2 (Strike) and COMM2 to channel 4 (Hawk flight); Hawk 4 is controlled by AI and they will orbit ahead and push toWP3 automatically after Hawk 1-1 is en-route to WP3). The mission route is designed to avoid approaching from the south over the Gulf of Oman, where tactical fighter sweep missions are being carried out above the ocean. Meanwhile, as covered by our allied air defense system in the northeastern region of U.A.E, we can ingress safely to Jebel al Harim Mountain area, only 65nm southwest across the strait from Seerik in Iran, where both primary and secondary targets are located. At WP4, report feet dry, then turn to WP5 for ingress checks and report to STRIKE. After WP5, start FENCE IN checks and ingress to Operation Area. WP6 (Bullseye: ROCK) is located above Jebel Al Harim Mountain and it is our IP point, from where Hawk 3 and Hawk 4 to maintain on station for CAP tasks at AGL 33 between WP6 and WP7, and at their own decision to intercept any enemy airborne threats approaching to the Operation Area. Keep in mind that multiple Iranian SAM sites are still active along Iran's coast to the north of the Operation Area, don't get too deep in the north or cross the N27°line. From IP point, Hawk 1 and Hawk 2 to establish enough altitude above AGL 30 and turn northeast to get ready for HARM launch. Our primary target isSA-10 site located 4 nm southeast of Seerik at WP6. If the SAM radars are active, you will see "BB" stands for 64N6 Big Bird Radar or "10" stands for 30N6Flap Lid Radar lit up in your EW indicator, and you could choose either TOO or PB mode to fire your HARM missiles at the target. Otherwise, you might need to get closer to the SAM or send off your ADM-141 decoy glider to entice the radar operator to turn it on. Keep in mind that the TALD needs altitude and initial speed and it takes time to fly, also don't get too closer to Iran's coast which is still defended by the Iranian Air Force and mobile air defense units. After the primary target is neutralized, we have the option to engage the secondary target of SA-11 site located at Seerik at WP7, based on ammunition and fuel status (Bingo Fuel 4,500lbs). After each HARM launch, the fighter should return to ROCK at AGL 30, getting ready for HARM launch if any further attack is necessary. STRIKE will provide BDA once the attack on either the primary or secondary target is completed. Once the attack is done, all flights to egress viaWP8 to WP9. Navy's S-3B Tanker (Shell) is available to the southeast of WP9, whilst USAF KC-135 (Texaco) will also be operating to the southwest of WP5,operating in U.A.E airspace. At WP10, contact mother for recovery, or in case of emergency, deviate to Fujairah International Airport for alternate landing option. Classic Case I recovery is expected but don't be too late as the CVN-71 Carrier Group is scheduled to turn heading eastward around 1200LT when the last flight is recovered and we will do some routine maintenance in the afternoon, whilst CVN-72 Carrier Group will be sailing west with a full schedule of missions in the afternoon. Last but not least, fuel management is crucial for the mission, be conservative, and do not light up your nozzle too often.
