I think I have been confusing myself, and perhaps others, on the carrier deck when referring to cat numbers.
I just looked it up to confirm, and I trust it's the same on all CVNs; catapults are numbered from starboard to port, 1-4. This is actually the opposite of how most things are numbered on a Navy (and Coast Guard) ship.
